My D got into both Texas State new SMT camp Nexus and TPAP. She went to TPAP last summer and lived it. Said it was life changing. Thought maybe we would try something new this summer but know very little about the Nexus camp. Anyone have an opinion on which is better and why or can tell me a bit about Nexus.

Hi everyone! I'm planning on turning in my application tmrw and I was just wondering what my chances would be with the following stats:
-current sophmore
-3.35 gpa uw
-medical association club officer at my school
-patient services hospital volunteer
-did Rosetta Institute summer program last summer(before my sophomore year) at UCB
-HOSA: preparing for events and going to compete in SLC
-biology tutor in 9th grade for struggling students
I'm applying to clusters 7 and 8 at Davis (Biomed and Chem of Life); I know my gpa is kinda bad but with ec's and good apps do you think I can make it? Thank you so much!

I was recently accepted into the NYU Pre college program, but I was also interested in Boston University High School Honors, both give college credits. I already attended the Summer Challenge last summer at Boston University which had no credit.
Would attending another summer program at BU have significant benefits towards my Boston University Application?

My son was accepted into Penn State summer intensive and Triple Arts at Western Carolina. Does anyone have info on which program is better, or experience in either. They both seem conservatory style, and are reputable.

529 Money For Summer Programs (Under New Tax Bill)
Hey all, I was recently accepted into a prestigious summer pre-college program, and tuition is $1K. I was wondering if, under the new tax bill that allows up to 10k to be taken out from a 529 plan for "tuition in connection with enrollment or attendance at an elementary or secondary public, private, or religious school." This language is pretty broad and doesn't solely reference private school tuition, so I was wondering if it would be at all possible for money from my 529 to be used for the tuition of the summer pre-college program? Please help, thanks!

UCLA Summer online college credit courses for high schoolers
Has anyone taken the online summer courses approved for HS students at UCLA? Are they worth it? Any reviews would be helpful.
Note- UCLA website mentions that the transcripts will not mention whether the course was taken on campus or online.

Hi, I’m Shafkat from Bangladesh, and I’m currently in the 11th grade. I wish to attend college in the USA, so I’m looking for good summer programs. I had applied for the FTE Economics for Leaders program, and was accepted in my first choice(Yale). Is this prpgram really selective, and is it worth attending? Will this add value to my college application(I wish to study economics). Is it worth the expense and time, provided that I’m going to have to travel half way around the world? Thanks in advance!
