I found this program online. It is ran completely by Harvard students. I was wondering has any one gone to it and if so was it worth it?

Vanderbilt Summer Academy
Has anyone else applied for VSA Session III 2018, has a child who applied, attended in the past, or knows someone who attended in the past?
About me: I applied during the "priority window" on February 1st this year with a 1330 PSAT. I will be a rising senior this summer and really hope that I get in. I'm really hoping to communicate with people that have also applied for the same session.

USC Bovard Scholars
Has anyone heard of or been apart of the USC Bovard Scholars Program? It seems like a great opportunity but I can't find any information on how difficult is to be accepted, and I'd also love to hear about past experiences. Thanks! (Not sure if this is the right forum, but it has a three-week summer program aspect? Wasn't sure where else to post)

Study Abroad Benefits?
I am a rising senior and currently have the option to attend the IUHPFL (Indiana University) study abroad program in Spain. While I would really like to go, I want to know how beneficial this may be in college applications to selective schools. Other than being an essay opportunity, would this really be more beneficial than staying in Bloomington, IN and working/interning/etc?

Question on how to Fund Summer Programs?
I'm thinking of applying to a few summer programs for archaeology, but most of them don't offer full scholarships. The amount of prospective archaeology summer programs is small already, so there is virtually almost no programs that offer full rides themselves. So, is there any outside scholarships that can be used to fund these summer programs? How should I go about procuring funds for these programs? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Stanford Medicine Clinical Summer Internship (CSI) vs Penn Medicine Summer Program (JKCP)?
Hello!
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on either the Stanford Medicine Clinical Summer Internship (CSI) or Penn Medicine Summer Program for High School (JKCP)?
Has anyone attended any of them, enjoyed them, recommend them etc. and can comment on their quality (e.g. learning, experiences, academic, social, accomodation etc.)?
Also, would anyone know of either program’s reputation and competitiveness? Can anyone compare them, which one would be better to attend?
Any opinions and/or information about either or both would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

HELP MIT Women Technology Program or Girls Who Code?
Hi I am currently a junior that is searching for summer programs to apply for. This is my first time (regrettably) applying for these summer programs and I am stuck between MIT Women Technology Program and Girls Who Code and I plan to apply for both (just in case I don't make it into one of them). I expect to learn a decent amount of coding and computer science from both programs but if I would like to know how competitive both programs are. If I was accepted into both which one would be the smarter choice in terms of experience, computer knowledge, and how it shows on college apps.

NIH Summer Internship Program Housing Thread- Summer 2017
Hello everybody! Since people are starting to get accepted into the NIH SIP, I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread for people who are looking for roommates.
If you could post in this format, it would be a lot easier to connect with potential roommates.
Grade:
Age:
Which branch (NEI, NIAAA, etc.):
Branch location (Bethesda, Baltimore, etc.):
Any other info you want to share:
Remember, if you are a minor you'll need to stay with an adult, so stay aware of this fact.
Congratulations on getting accepted, I hope all of you have a great summer!

Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes
I received a letter in the mail earlier this week inviting me to apply to the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes. I looked through their programs and it looks very interesting! I think I'd be interested particularly in the Biotechnology and Bioscience program. My question would be as to what a Stanford Pre-Collegiate experience would actually be like? Have any of you actually attended a Stanford summer program or know someone that has? Also, how feasible would it be that I would actually be admitted after applying (i.e. how rigorous is their selection process for those who apply/do a substantial number of people apply each year)? After all, it is Stanford. Just wanted to know if any of you had any expertise in this area. :)
